Guest Post: Monique of Life Begins At Twenty

Welcome back to Every Blogging Thing! Today, I am doing something a little different as a thank you to one of my followers and fellow bloggers. I decided to come up with some questions so we can all get to know her better and what drove her to this awesome world of blogging!

Here is Monique of Twenty Begins At Twenty

Hi, everybody! I’m Monique, a 20-year-old college student and blogger based on the Philippines. I talk about my struggles and experiences as an aspiring writer who just finished writing my very first novel last October. Aside from that, I also spread motivation and advice to young adults my age. I talk about all of this in my blog called www.lifebeginsattwenty.com.

I’d appreciate it if you spare a few minutes of your time to visit it and read one or two articles.

Q: What inspired you to begin blogging?
A: Since quarantine started, I’ve always wanted to earn money while staying at home. During the summer, I wasn’t able to attend online summer classes because I was on the transition of shifting to another degree program. In the meantime, I started writing a novel on Wattpad. I decided to promote my novel and expand my reach to an even wider audience but Facebook groups aren’t enough. So I decided to start my own blog. Another thing that inspired me to begin blogging is a habit of mine when I talk to myself in the middle of the night about my thoughts and conversations that I should’ve said on that particular day. I realized I have so much to say and I want to share my opinions to help the people who badly need it. Book promotion, passive income, the need to share thoughts — that sums it all up.

Q: When you envisioned reaching your goals who do you see standing and clapping for you the loudest?
A: It would have to be my family and my boyfriend. They support my dreams and I love them both even more for it. They’ve always believed in my capabilities even when I couldn’t see them myself.

Q: What drives you to do what you do everyday in your blogging endeavors?
A: My goals! Lately, I’ve been developing good habits and I’m feeling really good about it. I’ve never been this goal-driven before and was always drained with academics in school (a part of that is because I didn’t like my degree program). But now, inner motivation is overflowing in me. Hopefully, it will last a long time!

Q: What are some goals that you are working towards this year?
A: For sure, it’s to get approved on Google Adsense and get more traffic to my blog by building my Pinterest account. Another goal is to post 15+ blog posts every month. Also, I’m finalizing my novel because I’ll be querying this to a publisher in the first quarter of 2021. I’ve been very productive this year which I’m amazed about. In God’s Name, everything will be right.

Q: And finally, if you could do one thing different in your life what would it be and why would you want to change it rather than embrace it?
A: Speaking in retrospect, I would definitely say I want to change my decisions I did back in high school. But now that I believe that I’ve grown and known better, I wouldn’t change anything. Everything that happened, especially the bad ones, led me towards this path. If I had known this would be the outcome (a content woman with goals to achieve) then I wouldn’t have cried at night for the poor choices I have made before. As what I said in my previous blog posts, you should see the purpose of your pain. And now that I have seen the purpose of mine, I now feel all the more confident to go through all the pain that awaits me because I know even greater joys are ahead.

Thank You

Hope you enjoyed learning about this enthusiastic blogger as much as I have and give her website a visit. Thanks to you all!
